Jewel Tower
(
Worth Seeing
)
This venerable, solitary tower is one of the few remaining parts of the old Palace of Westminster. Built in 1366, it was used
to house the personal valuables of Edward III and was known as the Royal Wardrobe. Today it makes an excellent introduction
to the Houses of Parliament with an exhibition about their history and procedural practices. You can also take a 'tour' of
Parliament on a multimedia touch-screen machine.
