Piccadilly Circus

( Worth Seeing )

London's most famous circus (a site where several streets meet) is almost permanently clogged with traffic and young tourists who use the steps around the Statue of Eros as a convenient rest stop or meeting point. It's a frenetic, unattractive place, best seen at night when the illuminated hoardings come to life. Just off here are two youth-oriented attractions; Rock Circus, where Madame Tussaud's goes pop, complete with an animatronic rock show, and the tacky Trocadero, claimed to be Europe's largest indoor entertainment complex.
