Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition

( Highly Recommended )

In May 1997 Shakespeare's circular wooden Globe Theatre was finally completed after 25 years hard work, the dream of American film and theatre director, the late Sam Wanamaker. Constructed according to contemporary late 16th-century techniques, it was the first thatched building to be erected in London since the Great Fire of 1666. The Globe Exhibition, telling the story behind this remarkable project, features a major exhibition on the world of Shakespeare and includes a theatrical tour.
