Anyone who walks about the city will come across these brightly coloured urinals. They are actually squat concrete blocks; the decoration only appeared when the city was overrun by a wave of amateur graffiti 'artists'. Youngsters who are caught with a spray-can are often unable to pay the huge fines involved and so the task of repainting public toilets was thought up as an alternative punishment. Local people reacted so enthusiastically to the initiative that professional artists were soon also commissioned to paint the exterior of the urinals. Alas these artistic loos are men-only.
